Rare treasure from the late 800 /early 900 , a Victorian bucket bag in great vintage conditions.
This rope bag is handcrochet worked in macrame over a red cotton as the inside lining.
It has been sourced in Holland.
Please consider that in that era, not everybody could afford a bag like this.
In the 1970 this kind of bags came back again as revival, they were popular for hippies, artists and bohemian people but this is an origibal Victorian one.
Great vintage condition considering its age; only the rope from the rings inside is a little bit loose but nothing noticeble.
Fresh from laundry.
